BIOGRAPHY
Tom Derry is Chief Executive Officer of the Institute for Supply Management® (ISM®), with more than 30 years of experience in leadership and general management roles for public and private companies, and in the not-for profit sector. He has executed turn-arounds at the corporate and business-unit level through a variety of means, including acquisitions, divestitures, restructuring, and business process re-engineering.
As CEO of the Institute for Supply Management, Tom has a unique vantage point to observe major macroeconomic trends and the development of global supply chains through his daily contact with Fortune 500 chief procurement officers and chief supply chain officers, with government agencies and NGOs in the United States and abroad, and with leading academics. Tom has been interviewed on CNBC, Bloomberg Television, quoted in The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and dozens of other business publications. Tom has represented ISM in meetings with the White House Council of Economic Advisers, the National Security Council, the Federal Reserve System Board of Governors, and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
At ISM, Tom has overseen an increase in revenues, a reduction in costs, the introduction of new revenue streams, and the launch of new product lines. As Chief Operating Officer of the Association for Financial Professionals, Tom oversaw strategy development and execution. Tom completed two cross-border acquisitions, which became for-profit subsidiaries of AFP. He oversaw all AFP staff in London, UK and Bethesda, MD.
As General Manager of the Business Intelligence unit of LexisNexis, team led a 40-person acquisition integration team, which completed the integration ahead of plan and under budget. He also executed the strategic divestiture of another LexisNexis unit, and implemented new technologies, including web-crawling bots, to re-engineer data collection and quality processes for LexisNexis’ business data unit.
Tom is a 1986 graduate of Georgetown University’s Walsh School of Foreign Service (B.S., Foreign Service).
Debbie Fogel-Monnissen, Chief Financial Officer
BIOGRAPHY Debbie Fogel is Chief Financial Officer for the Institute for Supply Management®. In addition to Finance, her responsibilities include Information Technology, Human Resources, and Sales & Customer Service Operations. Prior to joining ISM® in 2017, she spent 15 progressive years at Mastercard. Her most recent assignment was International Markets, Chief Financial Officer. She was responsible for all the financial operations for Europe, Latin American & Caribbean, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa. In her prior roles, she led the global Financial Planning & Analysis function and was Chief Audit Executive, each for three years. She started with Mastercard in Europe and was the Europe Regional Finance Officer prior to her New York-based assignments. She also did a short-term assignment in MasterCard’s Latin America Region in 2003. Prior to MasterCard, she worked in various capacities for Motorola’s Semiconductor Sector and was a Senior Manager in Audit for KPMG. She has worked internationally including expatriate assignments in Belgium, Mexico, and Germany. Ms. Fogel is a C.P.A. and has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Summa Cum Laude, from Arizona State University. She was a visiting Professor of Practice in the Masters of Accountancy and Taxation programs at Arizona State University in 2008. She holds an International Master’s Degree in Business Administration, highest distinction, from Belgium’s Vlerick Leuven Gent Management School where she served on the International Advisory Board. |
Susan Marty, Chief Product Officer

As Chief Product Officer of ISM®, Susan Marty is focused on driving member and customer engagement, market development and growth. A creative and resourceful visionary, she has a knack for generating new revenue and identifying centers of profitability. She boasts a stellar track record in enhancing performance for Fortune 100 companies as well as progressive, start-up ventures.
Prior to joining ISM, Susan held senior leader roles at WorldatWork, Inter-Tel (now Mitel), Voice Access Technologies, OmniSky, and AT&T Wireless. In her most recent position at WorldatWork, she led the product management organization, marketing, brand management, social media, market intelligence, business, development, IT, customer service, strategic alliances, and event management teams. Susan also created the product management organization within WorldatWork, enabling it to expand its portfolio and increase brand awareness across the globe.
In addition, Susan has operated a successful consulting practice, specializing in new product development, product management process, go-to-market and business alliance strategies. She actively serves in several charities across the Arizona valley.
Paul Lee, Director, Research & Analytics

BIOGRAPHY
Paul Lee is Director, Research & Analytics, for Institute for Supply Management® in Tempe, Arizona.
Mr. Lee is responsible for overseeing production of the monthly Report On Business® and executing ISM®’s primary and secondary research initiatives. Under his leadership, the Report On Business® team is working to extend the reach and coverage of this well-respected portfolio of macroeconomic indicators. In collaboration with internal and external clients, the research team scopes, designs, and executes programs to discover and deliver actionable information and intelligence that drives and enhances organizational performance.
Mr. Lee has more than 20 years of experience in commercial and marketing research on both the client and supplier sides of the business. He has provided insight and solutions to challenges facing organizations in the supply management, health plan, hospital, automotive, non-profit, television programming, and building and construction materials industries. His grasp of big picture issues and his skill as a practitioner of qualitative and quantitative methods and analytic techniques positions him as a valuable bridge between executive and technical constituencies.
As a senior manager for J.D. Power and Associates, he supported clients in their efforts to better understand and connect with their key customers and stakeholders. Before joining ISM, Mr. Lee was a senior consultant at TriWest Healthcare Alliance specializing in patient and customer satisfaction solutions.
Mr. Lee earned an MBA from The W.P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University and a BA in Economics from Harvard University.
